I’ve generally shied away from gel pens because they’ve always leaked smeared or bled through paper. I tried these at the store and liked the way they felt so I bought a pack of blue ink .7 mm tip pens and I love them. I’ve been using them for the last week and they don’t smear or leak and they barely bleed through thinner notebook paper. While the writing is a little visible through notebook paper and my check register paper it’s not very bad and it’s not blotchy. I think I’m going to get a pack of .5 mm tip pens as well.

My new favorite pen is thisTru Red brand. The grip is nice and the ink doesn’t bleed or smear. I’ve tested out to see if others would like it. When they ask to borrow a pen I let them use this and so far the responses have been (“Nice pen you better keep an eye out on it” and “nice pen I like the grip on it better not let people steal it.” ) So yes I highly recommend this product.
