[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I will preface this review by saying that I have a strong preference for gel pens and have tried many different brands over the years. I refuse to use anything else. Though I was skeptical that the Staples ProGel pens would work as well as the brand name pens I tend to reach for I am pleasantly surprised! These work just as well as their competitors and the ink glides on paper smoothly and beautifully. It dries within seconds and does not smudge! The textured ridges in the padding makes it both comfortable and easy to hold. The 0.7mm thickness is perfect for me as that is what I'm used to. I doubt I will ever buy brand name gel pens again. These are just as good.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pen was great! Straight out of the package it wrote immediately. None of the usual scribbling to get the ink to come out that I’ve had with other pens. It’s also incredibly smooth and the .07 is a nice bold line. I press fairly hard when I write and have issues with some pens skipping because of it. I had no issues with this one. My only small criticism is the grip. It has hard edges to it so you have to position the pen in a specific way in your hand. The grip area is not the same around the entire pen so you don’t have a comfortable grip from any position. Not a big issue for me and it would not keep me from purchasing the pen in the future.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The StaplePro Gel Pen delivers a commendable writing experience overall. Even thought it’s a store brand pen it’s no lesser any other popular gel pen around here. Compared to other gel ink pens its smooth ink flow and consistent performance stand out. The ink dry time is impressively quick minimizing smudging and allowing for efficient writing. The ergonomic design ensures a comfortable grip enhancing the writing experience even during long sessions. What I liked most about this pen is its reliability; it consistently delivers clean crisp lines without skipping or blotting. Overall the Staple Pro Gel Pen is a reliable choice for anyone seeking a smooth comfortable and efficient writing instrument. Staples you found a lifetime customer who is going to ditch the10year loyal brand .
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use pens a lot as part of my job working in the hospital. My go-to pens are Zebra brand. These Staples pens seem to be Staples’ version of the Pilot G-2. I compared a .7 blue G-2 with a .7 blue Staples ProGel pen. I would say they’re very similar! The ink is a bit more sluggish in the Staples pen but not overly so. The dry time is also similar and good for a gel pen. I would say that this pen would be good for left-handed people because the dry time is quick. The Staples pen has a bit of an advantage over the G-2 with the grip which is a little more triangular than the perfectly round G-2 which I prefer. The Staples pen is also more affordably priced than the G-2 which is why I would personally recommend it as a good alternative.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This gel pen holds its own against other competitors. I like the retractable nib so I don't have to keep up with pen caps and the comfort grip lives up to its name. The pen writes well and clearly with vibrant ink on a variety of writing surfaces. It excels in the saturation of the pen ink while not bleeding through which is a problem I've encountered with other gel pens. It writes well on glossy surfaces which are often a challenge. The only reason I give it a 4 out of 5 star review is because I experienced some smudging on the glossier pages. Otherwise I found it to be very quick drying. Even on the glossy pages it dries pretty quickly but not so fast as to eliminate a few small smudges when writing at my normal speed. The picture of the smudged ink was from me immediately running my finger over it so that's not going to be typical but it does show the issue. You can also compare the vibrancy of the ink on my calendar page pictures.
