Just purchased Tru Red hanging folders a week ago for light-duty use so I have no idea how they will hold up over time. It was difficult to insert the plastic tabs into the slots on the tops of the files. It took a while but I was able to eventually get them assembled. I've used pendaflex reinforced (my favorite) and also Staples (not Tru Red) hanging files before and never had this problem. For files that I need to last 10+ years I'd get pendaflex reinforced hanging files. Time will tell how long the Tru Red files hold up as the problems with hanging files are usually sagging of the metal rod or separation of the glued flap that holds the metal rod. I'm trying the Tru Red because the price was considerably less and it's for short-term use.
