They are good for general small filing...you need sturdier and expandable for large files or filing for more than a couple of years of storage. You cannot get all the pretty colors in store. I use diff colors to keep up with which cabinet a file belongs in for easier filing.

tabs are not colored like color of folders; rather they are clear so really can't discern difference for filing purposes so if doing monthly folders for one calendar year they would not be different colors for each calendar year. Called 6 Staples stores and had no folders from any company with colored tabs. Had to return them and found what I wanted at one of your competitors.
