This takes some getting used too I cant say its awful but it really reminds me of CIGARS the aroma and the taste. If you love Cigars you will love this coffee .....
Pros: Smooth Taste, Not Bitter
Cons: Unpleasant Flavor
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

reminiscent of New Orleans in a bad way

This coffee reminded me of the well known brew from New Orleans that has Chickory added to it. Yech!! Bitter, way to strong. I tried to water it down, but the burnt tase was still there. Threw it out after 2 sips.
Cons: Strong burnt taste, Tastes of Chickory, Bitter on palate
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This along with Black Tiger is one of my favorites. Keep it in mind this is for serious black coffee drinkers only. If you take milk or sugar in your coffee you might find this too strong.
Pros: Pleasing Roast, Exceptional/Interesting Flavor

I like bold coffee, but this is just bitter. Nothing good about this, except it's hot in these winter months.

I really don't know who this clown (Emeril) is. I know he says stuff like "kick it up a notch" because I have a friend who watches the Food Network and he bores me endlessly with tales from the kitchen. I still find it hard to believe there is a food network...but I digress. From the reviews, it seems that this is a "love it or hate it" coffee. I thought it was perfect. It has me wanting to try some other bold coffee, like Jet Fuel. I would recommend this to anyone who likes bold coffee, even us sane people who don't know what channel the Food Network is on.
Pros: Smooth Taste, Pleasing Roast

This coffee is nice and strong and actually tastes like coffee. If you prefer a mild coffee, this is not for you. Perfect morning cup to get me going every single day!

I cannot list one positive aspect to the flavor of this roast.

I can have one cup of coffee a day, and I choose Emeril's. Has a wonderful coffee smell, bold flavor without being too dark. Love it.
Pros: Smooth Taste, Exceptional/Interesting Flavor, BOLD, I love this coffee, Attractive Mouthfeel/Body, Pleasing Aroma, Get's me up in the mornin, Pleasing Roast, Not Bitter, Balanced Acidity
