I am a big time coffee drinker and prefer bold, but this coffee is horrible! If you like bitter coffee or coffee from SB you will probably enjoy it, if not I would suggest you try something else.
Cons: Unpleasant Flavor
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Exceeds Expectations!

I am fairly new to the Keurig coffee system, and was initially attracted to it because I love the concept of a FRESH, PERFECTLY BREWED cup o' joe every day, instead of the diminishing returns of the pound bag and trad brewer. I was hooked by the difference in the freshness overall. Initially I had a few large boxes of 80 cups from[...], which I had just finished and was ready to sample the wares of other k-cups with a vengeance!I agree with those who say that a lot of the k-cups produce a watery brew -- sort of like the coffee taste evaporates abreuptly in hyur mouth instead of fading away like a pleasant memory.I read the reviews for this cup and figured I would be in synch with the other coffee snobs who dared to take the plunge before me and resolved to try it --- And the coffee snobs were right! It is by far the best cup I have tasted so far (probaby have tried half of what's out there). How do they manage to make such a rich and exciting cup that is so smooth and velvety on the tongue and isn't bitter? For the coffee snob I am, not only do I want my brewed perfectly, and to have impeccable flavor, I want complexity, different layers of flavor -- and this delivers without being "winey" which I find a turn-off.Like a fellow coffee snob mentioned, I shared the concern that the Emeril tag was all marketing and feared it might be one of the worst cups out there. Au contraire, Emeril deserves kudos for taking his coffee seriously and putting his name on such an exceptional blend. I, too, feel I have found my cup and will definitely keep ordering it in the future! Exceeded my expectations by far!
The Emeril Vanilla Bean Bam is okay (not great, however) but this was terrible. Fortunately, this came in a starter pack as we couldn't force ourselves to drink the last couple of k-cups and we enjoy strong coffee. Even my husband didn't like it and he likes the "bold" variety better than I do. The aroma literally reminded me of an old cigar and it tasted like it had been sitting in a percolator all morning. I cannot recommend.
Cons: Unpleasant Flavor, Unpleasant Aftertaste
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bam! delivers wonderful taste without the bitter after taste many coffees have and it will wake you up without being too overpowering.
Tried this on the 6oz setting and liked it...but then, tried it on the 3oz setting and LOVED it. Really great cup of coffee. I love strong coffee that doesn't taste bitter or have a strong acidic flavor / aftertaste. I would strongly recommend this one, if you're like me.
I have tried around 20-30 k-cups thus far, and it all really depends on how strong or acidic you like your cup of coffee. It also depends on whether or not you like your coffee black or blended. Huge difference. I tend to prefer the very bold and earthy, but light acidic taste of the darker brews (black). A lot of the coffees I've tried so far claim to be bold, but are usually watery in boldness and way too sharp/acidic for my taste. This is one of those rare brews that gets it right. Another few to try are Tully's French Roast or Italian Roast, Timothy's Parisian Nights, and a milder, but very flavorful Diedrich French Roast. There are a few others, but Emeril's Big Easy (small or medium cup setting / black) is #1 in my book, followed by the others mentioned above. Enjoy!!!!
Because we live in Louisiana and love strong coffee, my husband & I expected a lot and were extremely disappointed in this coffee. It was weaker than we usually drink and didn't taste as flavorful as some of the others. We are continuing to look for the right one for us.
Pros: Not Bitter
Cons: Not Enough Flavor
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
