I had tried this coffee because I assumed that if anyone needed a strong cup of coffee it would be emril, but this was just unbelievably bitter. I had to attempt to add salt to make it drinkable,(I heard that it cuts bitterness) but no luck. I was disappointed that I purchased an entire box, and unfortunately a year and a half later I still can't move the stuff.
Ok I was dissapointed after reading some decent reviews on this blend. My friend and I staged a coffee tasting tonight with about 8 different types (Tully's Italian Roast (decent but a little bitter, I liked it Michelle did not), This one (horrible, we both hated it), VH Ethiopia Limu (we both found this one really nice and different, almost like tea flavor), Caribou Daybreak (nice, kinda like dunkin donuts we decided), GM Breakfast Blend (decent, basic joe,), GM Dark Magic (my favorite so far strong yet not bitter, she liked it too), VH Columbian Dark (disappointing and watery, we both scratched our heads how they could say "dark" it was weak),GM Hazelnut (ok, not bad) but this Emeril's was really awful. Both my friend and I felt it had no redeeming qualities at all and were surprised because with a name like Emeril we thought it would be good. Im sending this box back for another Limu or Dark Magic (Which are very different but both excellent!
