Great gel ballpoint pen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried gel pens in the past and didn't like them enough to continue using them. The main problem was smearing on the paper and getting the ink on my fingers. BIC seems to have taken the smearing problem completely out of the equation with their Quick Dry technology for the Gel-ocity pens. Once you remove the tiny plastic protection from the tip of the pen it takes a little bit of writing to get the ink flowing smoothly, there is a small amount of scratchiness right at first. The barrel of the pen has alternating segments of smoothness or slight abrasion for comfort and security in holding the pen. The medium point gives a nice clearly written word as long as you are accustomed to that size point.

Now, with the BIC Gel-ocity Quick Dry gel pens, I buy nothing but gel pens! Seriously, before I tried the pens, I thought that there was no way that these wouldn't be just as messy as all the others! I was delightfully surprised! These pens are amazing and the colors are so vibrant and beautiful!

I also have two girls that love art just as much as myself. These pens are quite vivid and dry quickly compared with other gel pens. Thus, unsurprisingly, the pens have already been confiscated by the kids and they approve very much. Great for tween and teens to start out the new school year in style.
