These were used to bind a notebook. I always use the size larger than is recommended. the pages turn much easier.

I purchased the combing spines for a book my 5th graders wrote about their weekly visits to Stony Kill Farm. The boys were intrigued by the whole process. They especially loved when they pulled the handle too far and the spine sprung clear across the classroom.In my decades of teaching I have used this product often with consistent results.
