To cut down on caffeinated coffee, I have tried several decaffeinated coffees. I came across this Italian Roast and really thought I accidentally put in a regular coffee pod. This by far beats any single cup decaffeinated coffee on the market.
Pros: Pleasing Aroma, Pleasing Roast, Attractive Mouthfeel/Body, Smooth Taste, Taste Like Caffeninated

coffehouse taste

tastes like the "Americana decafe" I get at our local coffeehouse. Like decafe expresso. Great if you like bold taste even in a large mug it was strong. I think I could get a 2nd cup from 1 K cup. I love it.

A little too bitter for me

One of the best; makes good half-calf

This is one of our favorite dark roasts (and since getting our Keurig brewer -- and finding most medium roasts too wimpy -- we're trying quite a number of the dark roasts). The Barista Prima Italian Roast has been consistent in its good flavor and strength without being bitter as some French roasts can be... [we used distilled water in our Keurig]. We drink mostly Decaf but when we want a 'half-calf' we make two successive K-cups of Barista Prima Italian Roast, each into a ceramic mug (one Decaf, one Regular) and then quickly mix them in a clean glass pitcher that's been preheated by boiling some water in it with our microwave... Pour out the water > pour in the Decaf and Regular > pour half of the mix back into each of the ceramic mugs and we're GOOD TO GO with still nicely hot half-calf Italian Roast. ==> Barista Prima should seriously consider offering this flavor in a 'half-calf' K-Cup version !!

Great afternoon pick me up

If you do not like a bold dark roast coffee this one is not for you. I love that it has such a full bodied, pleasing taste and yet it is a decaf. I love an afternoon cup of coffee and can enjoy this rich smooth taste without the nerve jerking caffeine. I have been drinking it for several months now and have to say it is my favorite. I enjoy this Barista Prima in the regular Italian roast also. Great coffee.

Absolutely Horrid!

Got a box as a gift and hated it. Tried it 3 times thinking I just got one bad K-cup but they were all equally nasty.

Good, flavorful and strong

This is by far my favorite decaf coffee. Usually, decaf coffees can be weak flavored, and I like my coffee strong. This coffee is strong and flavorful and satisfies my taste buds, and is my usual go-to. I've tasted most of the decaf brands of coffee offered on this site, and this, along with Decaf Dark Magic and Timothy's Decaf Rainforest Espresso, are the strongest and most satisfying decafs offered.
