There is nothing great about this bitter coffee.
Pros: It's decaf
Cons: Bitter

Finally, a decaf coffee that delivers

I had always enjoyed strong caffeinated coffee but then, for various reasons, found I could not tolerate caffeine. I was then faced with the problem of finding a rich, dark, full-bodied flavor in a decaf brew. Kurig Italian Roast Decaf was the answer.
Pros: Complete Satisfaction, Real Coffee Flavor, Full-bodied, Robust, Rich

This is surprisingly good; when I first started buying this product, it had rather mixed reviews. I have noticed over time the quality can vary and I don't know if this is true anymore. The last few batches have been really delicious! It's not too dark or too bitter (if you normally like a good dark roast) and I find it tastes similar to starbucks. I really recommend it!

This is the first review I've ever given, and I'm doing so, because I love this coffee! I wish that the regular Italian Roast was as good as the decaf, but for some reason, the decaf is just a little better! I look forward to drinking it every evening, even in the summer when it's 100 degrees outside :) By far, my favorite coffee ever! Y U M !

For the DARK ROAST lovers

I prefer Dark Roast coffees (black, no sugar), to the point I almost cannot drink anything else now. Even the mid-range dark roasts don't cut it - HAS to be Italian Roast or stronger. Medium roast? Tastes like hot brown water. To be able to sleep normally, I really have to switch to decaf by afternoon. A decaffeinated coffee in any format is an extra-delicate creation; the balance has to be perfect. The so-called dark roast DECAF K-Cups are just too weak or bitter for me. I have purchased SO MANY decaf boxes that I had to give away after brewing one cup. Probably my palette is not that of the masses; no fault of the manufacturers. Resigned myself to the occasional chugging of a decaf mug, like downing sour medicine. At a family member's home they served me the Decaf Barista Prima Italian Roast K-Cup after dinner. I had never SEEN the DECAF version in a grocery store and it was off my radar at BB&B. I still remember that first sip. I'm PRETTY SURE there were no clouds parting and a sunbeam shining on me while happy birds twittered in circles around my head to a symphony crescendoing... especially since I was inside a living room. But I couldn't swear by it. By the time i finished that cup I felt dizzy with joy. I have found a lovely dark-roasted coffee, disguised as decaffeinated. The end.

Use: Morning wake-up or afternoon drink For a decaf, it was much more pleasant than I expected. Don't care for most decafs but don't mind this one at all. Of course, not as good as real coffee.
