Don't let the words Extra Bold or Robust or Strong scare you away from this wonderful coffee. Cupping it the first time is a surprise, but the real secret is to be discovered about 30 seconds after drinking the first gulp!! Try it.....
Pros: Balanced Acidity, Not Bitter, A surprising aftertaste, Smooth Taste, Exceptional/Interesting Flavor
This is a well balanced bold-body coffee with a very deep rich flavor that makes getting up on a miserable dark rainy day enjoyable or any day for that matter. Taste is smooth and comfortable on the tongue and aroma matches the taste. Bold without being anywhere or slightly bitter. It is rich tasting and ever so enjoyable to drink alone because I don't want to have anything interfering with it's wonderful taste.
Of the 20 or so k-cups I've tried I like this one the best. It's a nice robust dark with no bitterness or acidy bite. A smooth cup of dark. The Black Tiger was a bit too bitter with a bite to it for me, others I like are Emeril's BAM Dark Roast and the Sumatra Kopi Raya so if you like either of those you'll probably like this one.
I've been enjoying looking for my go-to coffee and have tried several great tasting cups of Joe...from van houtte house blend, caribou, millhoise breakfast blend. I had ordered a sampler pack of Sumatran Reserve by Green Mountain Coffee and finally got to tasting one after most of the others were gone...I was blown away. Smooth, strong yet non acidic with a touch of chocolate. It holds up great to some creamer and the flavor shines through. This is my favorite k-cup so far. I just ordered a few boxes and can't wait until they arrive as I drank the last one yesterday.
