Was very impressed with this coffee. It is very bold but not bitter. Very robust flavor with balanced acidity. Highly recommend this coffee if you need a jolt to start your day. Not for the feint of heart!
I brewed this cup with the 6oz feature. I think next time I will use the larger cup setting. This would be great for anybody who needs a big bold flavored coffee early in the morning to get going.
Pros: Pleasing Aroma, Pleasing Roast
Cons: Unbalanced Or Sharp Acidity, Unpleasant Aftertaste
I tried them all---they all tasted like brown water, until I got this Sumatran. They was actually better than the beans I had been burr-grinding and carefully measuring. I drank this coffee exclusively for 3 years until December 2013, when this, too, tasted like brown water.I called up Keurig and asked for darkest roast they had.I was sent 24 k-cups of Barista Prima 'Italian Roast'.This was dark, somewhat bitter, with a distinct after-taste of benzene.
Coffee is my favorite drink, and I especially enjoy the bold, dark roasts. Green Mountain's Sumatran Reserve leads my list, not just because of its taste, but also because it is "fair trade" and "organic!" Please try if you haven't.
