I have been drinking the eight o'clock Columbian for many years. Loved it. Drank it everyday, 2-3 cups. Then for some unknown reason, they now have Columbian "peaks". It is awful---that is all I can say---awful. When I called to find out if the two coffee's were the same, the young lady who answered could not answer my question's. If eight o'clock does not go back to the regular brew, onward to Folgers Columbian I will merrily go.
Cons: Unpleasant Aftertaste, Not Enough Flavor, Roasted Too Light, Unpleasant Flavor, Unappealing Or Flat Aroma, Thin Or Watery Mouthfeel/Body, Unbalanced Or Sharp Acidity
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

More than just a name change

I had to call to find out that Columbian Peaks was the same 100% Columbian coffee I've been ordering, but it seems to be a milder roast than the medium roast we have grown accustomed to.
First time I purchased Eight O'clock Colombian Peaks, I didn't know what to expect. Reviewers promised a smooth blend, etc; what I found was a fresh and bold coffee that suited my tastes on days when I didn't want really BOLD coffee, but refreshing to my palate. I've been pleased with my purchase three times! It's the one I reach for if nothing else sounds 'quite right' this morning!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bad after taste

I am usually not very fussy when drinking coffee but this is one that I really didn't like. There is a strong after taste and even my husband wouldn't drink it. This is certainly not a kind I will buy again. The original Eight oclock is very good (red cup)

I have had coffee from all around the world, including chicory. This Colombian coffee is a much smoother coffee than the arabica coffee which is a little bitter.. this coffee is a medium roast, full body and not to strong like some dark roasted coffee.

I really like the Eight o' clock Original and I usually like Columbian coffee, so I tried this. I was disappointed because it is very weak and I don't like my coffee super strong.
Cons: Thin Or Watery Mouthfeel/Body, WEAK, Not Enough Flavor, Roasted Too Light

The new peaks eight o'clock coffee is flat without a pleasing taste. It is like drinking warm water. Bring back the eight o'clock medium roast 100% colombian coffee, please.
Cons: Not Enough Flavor, Unappealing Or Flat Aroma, Unpleasant Flavor, Thin Or Watery Mouthfeel/Body, Roasted Too Light
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

we enjoyed the original eight o'clock coffee but then along comes the Columbian peaks and it's not at all even close to the original 100% Columbian .We have already started searching for another brand .Most Columbians we have tried are weak examples like Columbian peaks .
Pros: This Is Not Good Coffee
Cons: Unappealing Or Flat Aroma, Roasted Too Light, Not Enough Flavor, Thin Or Watery Mouthfeel/Body
