Please reviewers, when you rate this or any coffee, please include your brewer model and strength. Some of you say this coffee is bitter; did you brew at 8, 10, or 12 oz setting; did you only brew it at one setting? My K-elite can brew at 4, 6, 8,10, 12 oz. This is my first Keurig and I've only had it for three days so I'm brand new at this pod stuff. I know I'll have to develop my own taste but c'mon folks, help a guy out.

Best Dark Roast on the menu

I prefer dark roast coffees. I've tried nearly every pod in the category. Practically all can be divided into 2 groups: the first is for the coffees that are mainly dark roast in description and marketing, but taste like a medium roast brew with a little more coffee added to the pod. The second group is for the coffees that are truly dark roasted because they simple cook the bean until it's burnt and then brag about how "strong" and revved up it is. Barista Italian Roast is the perfect cup as it is definitely dark roasted and full bodied but not to the point of tasting burnt. I believe the beans are pulled before they scorch...ending up with a perfectly balanced, strong, un-burnt, with the infinitesimal hint of mocha. It's the gold standard that no pod beats. My only worry is that Green Mountain at some point will change the roast/bean/blend/coffee amount in the Pod to squeeze out more profit per pod

Great Tasting Coffee

This is my go-to after dinner/dessert coffee. Rich Italian-roast flavor with a smooth finish and fantastic aroma. A cup of this coffee and anything chocolate is a great ending to my day!

Real Coffee!

Not for sissies. This is the real deal, people. If you're tired of the weaker medium or light roast blends like Dunkin Donuts or most of Starbucks' blends, give this one a try. It'll almost climb out of the cup under its own power, it's just THAT strong. Just like I want with my morning routine. This is the "nuclear option" when it comes to waking up! Enjoy!

Barista is one of my favorites, but for some reason the Italian Roast has a lingering burnt taste.. and I used to like it. I drink mine black.. and I am forcing my way through this box. I enjoy all the other Barista's. I signed up for the auto-delivery and waited to late to cancel as I purchase the 96 ct. box of which this is included. Guess I will force myself through another box! Unless by chance it is better. Hoping.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Barista Italian Roast is the ABSOLUTE BEST COFFEE

I like a strong non bitter coffee and I have tried most of the k cup coffees and didn't like them as they were too weak . I got this and wow this is the best coffee ever. I've been drinking it for 6 years. I get it delivered every month. My father tried it and also loves and now drinks it.

Strong but not bitter

We've tried many of different flavors of k-cups but this Italian Roast (and also the Barista Prima French Roast) provide a nice strong flavor. And when we don't need it as strong it works out really well if you run it out to 12 or 14 oz. More coffee for your buck!

At first, I tried the sample 5 pk...not enough coffees. I ordered the bigger box and I love this blend. My daughter came to Fl to visit and I asked her to forgive me. I had forgotten to get her coffee pods and all I had was this Italian Roast. She broke out in a big smile and said she loves this one! I was so relieved as I did not know. She appologized as she had forgotten to tell me about it. We both love it!
