This coffee woke me up!! But it did so in a very bitter way. Thank goodness it was just a sample cup that I got in the mail. I wouldn't spend money on this product.
This is the most horrible coffee I have ever had! I was looking for an Italian coffee like Olive Garden. Instead I found this which is like 24 hour old truck stop special!!! It's that bad, I just threw out the WHOLE box minus the cup I just poured down the drain. I made the cup on the 8oz setting tried it black... then one sugar, then 2, then added a ton of milk and still couldn't get past the burnt ash flavor. It's A LOT cheap just to go chew on CHARCOAL!
Pros: The box is pretty
Cons: Unpleasant Flavor, Unappealing Or Flat Aroma, Unbalanced Or Sharp Acidity, Unpleasant Aftertaste, Burnt Flavor
I have tried about a dozen different brands. I enjoy a bold coffee and so far I've found this to be the best. I also like Newmans Own Extra Bold.I was given a sample of Green Mountain Dark Magic and I also enjoyed that.Unfortunately, I apparently have expensive taste as Barista Prima is about 20% more costly than the others. I can't believe that for my me and my wife to drink coffee at home(3 cups each) it costs a little over 100 bucks a month.I guess we all have to pay the price for simplicity???
I got this as a mistake actually. I had ordered a sample of another Italian blend coffee and Keurig sent me this instead. After a lot of back and forth and how they wouldn't take the blame for what was their fault, I gave it a try and did it ever succeed. Deep, dark and everything good about a strong cup of coffee is what this delivered. I was instantly hooked and it's become one of the regular coffees in my rotation. The only real fault is the price. It's more expensive than the rest, but as it makes a fine cup of coffee I can't complain all that much. Actually the second fault is with the review company which won't let me use the word "d a m n" in front of "fine" for some unknown reason.
Although a bit more expensive than most K-cups, this coffee is worth it -- bold without any hint of bitterness or acidity. I like a coffee that is good enough not to need milk or sugar to hide its flaws. This one, my new favorite, fits the bill. I drink it black first thing to start the day on a great note. It makes it easier to leave the warmth and comfort of the bed.
Haven't tried many different varieties yet since my Keurig is new, but have already tasted many. This is by far my favorite. I do not like a wimpy cup of coffee, I like something with a bold strong flavor. This is it. I love Espresso and this is the closest to Espresso without actually drinking Espresso. Price here...Not Good. I bought a box at [@] 4 to 5 dollars cheaper.
This coffee tastes good to drink even though it is a very dark coffee and not for the weak of palate. It does however leave a lingering bitterness on the tongue. This is a drinkable cup of coffee for breakfast or dessert but I would not seek it out.
