Not what I expected!

I tried this blend because I so much loved the old Kona blend. This one is not really like it. It is pretty smooth but lacks any kick and has a weird sweet aftertaste. Not one of my favorites.
Kona in different packaging with a different name....this is exactly the same as the Kona in every way. If you like the Kona, try this..youll agree...NO difference...any why THATS now OOS.
I was really looking forward to trying this, since I haven't been able to get kona coffee for a while. I was unpleasantly surprised by the burnt taste I encountered. It was definitely over-roasted. My husband noticed the same thing. Terrible. Will not buy again!
I've been drinking coffee for years. I used to be a coffee house snob but not since getting our Keurig. This coffee is one of the best I have tried yet. It has great flavor and is really good for a medium roast (I normally drink darker coffees). I have been to Hawaii and while this is not even close to the Kona coffee I had there, it is really good and has just a subtle hint of Kona. I would recommend this to anyone to try and I will continue to buy - when it isn't out of stock!
Growing up in Seattle I have been very well educated and one of the first to experience gourmet coffee much earlier than allot of the country. Starbucks, Seattles Best, and many cart baristas from the 80's really set the bar until they started double pop roasting leaving most the blends with a thick, burnt taste...and then Tom Tully opened and was my savior! Kona was my favorite, however since the Kona harvest has left the market in high demand and thus it is never ins tock, I tried the Hawaiian and wow...just as good as the Kona! Smooth, bold, deep taste that is very enjoyable. Some have asked what the difference is..Kona is grown ON Kona, and Hawaiin is a blend from that incorporates other island crops as well. Simply Delicious!
