I remember when we'd go on hunting and fishing trips and drink coffee percolated over a fire or on a portable stove. Have never enjoyed coffee more. However this coffee ranks way up there. I like medium strong coffee and this suits me fine when brewed in the 9 1/2 oz. cup size.
Pros: Attractive Mouthfeel/Body, Pleasing Aroma, Smooth Taste, Good In Larger Size Brews, Pleasing Roast
I used the "Dark Italian Roast" by Eight O'Clock in k-cup format and was mildly disappointed. It lacked the strong taste that a "dark roast Italian" should have. I bought the 12 packs of k-cups on sale locally so it wasn't a total loss. I'm not saying it's a bad coffee at all, just not up to my personal liking.
Pros: Smooth Taste, Not Bitter
Cons: Thin Or Watery Mouthfeel/Body, Not Enough Flavor, Roasted Too Light
I love a bold hearty coffee without the burnt taste. This a great cup of coffee. Eight O'Clock has always been a great coffee, very happy to see this dark roast added to the family. Very enjoyable cup of coffee would like to get a larger mug with the same flavor from the Keurig( goes great with a chocolate creamer). Will purchase again.
I saw the 8 o'clock brand and remembered my parents drinking this brand when I was a child. So on a whim I chose their Italian roast. Was I ever supprised on my first cup that it was ever thing I loved in a bold coffee! Flavor that is not watered down, great aroma, not bitter, and the list goes on! It is now my new number one choice... tied with Black Tiger and Barista Italian roast
Pros: Pleasing Aroma, Balanced Acidity, Not Bitter, Pleasing Roast, Nice Rich Bold Flavor, Attractive Mouthfeel/Body, Not At All Weak, Smooth Taste
