This product is a true waste of money. The pens DO NOT WRITE. It is almost like they are all dried up. The first one I tried just left a blob of ink on the envelope then would not write any further. The rest were no better. I DO NOT RECOMMEND these pens.

I found these pens in a time of my life where I was lost (in terms of having a reliable go-to writing utensil). I have used pretty much every brand model and version of gel pens over the past 20 years. I use my own pen evaluation system which I would like to keep private at this time. Now some pens over the years were better than others some excelled in certain categories but let me down in others. I rotated through pens on a daily basis. I never had a pen that I called my own one that I looked forward to using each and every day. Then I found Staples newly branded "Tru Red" gel pens. These are without a doubt the best gel pen on the market today. The width is excellent the matte grip is superb the ink rolling to surface is wonderful and the best part is that they're simple. They're not overly branded they aren't trying to do too much. They are simply a gel pen with excellent performance. Your life has not begun officially until you own these pens. A+
