Purchased this decaf to have on hand for company desiring decaf. The first thing you notice is the extremely light colored coffee streaming into the cup. The taste is as underwhelming as the color.
Cons: Not Enough Flavor, Roasted Too Light, Thin Or Watery Mouthfeel/Body
This is a good tasting coffee for decaf and would be my go to brand if not for one problem. It is very slow to brew (drips out, not stream) and plugs my brewer. I suspect it is ground too fine, gets tightly packed while brewing and then backflows up into the upper needle and beyond. I've had to clean the upper needle twice this week. The second time after brewing only one K cup. If you're looking for decaf, I suggest you look elsewhere for a more coarsely ground variety.
My coffee desires change through out the day. During the day I need my caffiene and I go for the dark roasts. In the afternoon I need another pick me up and typically reach for a flavor. I like to end my day with a light roast decaf. I have tryed a lot of decafs that seem to be "trying to hard". This roast may be on the light side but it certainly does not lack coffee flavor and is in no way bitter. Just a smooth light way to end my day.
I used the coffee pods using both the 8 oz and 7 oz servings and I experienced no difference in taste or flavour. If you like a weaker decaf coffee and enjoy the molasses flavour, then try this. If you enjoy the deep roasted coffees, this one will not be for you. Thanks :)
Cons: Molasses tasting, Not Enough Flavor, Unappealing Or Flat Aroma, Thin Or Watery Mouthfeel/Body, Roasted Too Light
