I love Starbucks Italian Roast... but now that I have a Keurig; I had to find one that would be of equal strength; this is very close.
Pros: Pleasing Roast, Pleasing Aroma, Smooth Taste, Exceptional/Interesting Flavor
I would recommend this to a friend!

I usually like Sorrento, Caribou, Costa Rica blend, Kona. If these are your favorites, too, this coffee is NOT for you. Ready to throw it all away.
Cons: Unpleasant Aftertaste, Bitter, Unpleasant Flavor, Unbalanced Or Sharp Acidity
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very enjoyable dark roast

I've been drinking 2 cups a day since I got this coffee, and I'm signing up for automatic delivery. The other Green Mountain dark roasts are also good, but I think this one is my favorite. It has a very rich flavor, a little earthy, slightly acidic yet smooth.
Pros: Pleasing Aroma, Pleasing Roast
I would recommend this to a friend!

A real Gorilla Brew
on October 17, 2011

Disregarding flavored coffees (which have their place) and decaffeinated coffees (which don't), there are essentially three strengths of coffee: (1) Newspaper coffees, (2) Regular coffees, and (3) Gorilla brews. Newspaper coffee isn't what you read WITH a paper, it's what you read a newspaper THROUGH. It is so weak and characterless as to make one wonder why anyone even went to the trouble of brewing it. It is usually made by waving coffee beans over hot water. Regular coffee is what one commonly finds in commercial establishments, college study halls, office coffee klatches, and "Refreshments" table at symposiums (along with the stale Danishes and lemon-filled donuts). It's your basic utility grade cup of Joe. You accept it, barely, when there's no other coffee available. Then, there's Gorilla Brew. One sip puts hair on your chest (or, if you're a lady, maybe just a little peach fuzz). It's what you want before, during, and after that final college exam or that presentation you're going to give at the senior managers conference. It's what you want when you wake up in the morning. In fact, given a choice between a hot shower or a cup of this stuff, you'd have a very difficiult time deciding which to choose. Bottom line: Give these K-Cups to your close friends, loved ones, and honored guests who appreciate a good, hearty cup of coffee. Give this blend to those on your Christmas list who own (or need to own) a Keurig machine. They will thank you prosfusely and appreciate your discriminating taste in coffees.
Pros: Pleasing Roast, Smooth Taste, Exceptional/Interesting Flavor, Not Bitter, Attractive Mouthfeel/Body, Balanced Acidity, Pleasing Aroma
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best Bold we've tried
on September 28, 2011

Most definitely the best bold we've tried. I like it better than the Dark Magic cup, it doesn't have the bitter aftertaste that Dark Magic has. Smooth finish, holds its flavor, even when using creamer or syrup. Perfect to start the day!
Pros: Balanced Acidity, Not Bitter, Pleasing Aroma, Attractive Mouthfeel/Body
I would recommend this to a friend!
