I love a strong cup of coffee, but this flavour left a really strong bitter after taste in my mouth...almost like cigarette ashes. I wish I would have sampled it first before I bought a big box. I do however love and recommend the Extra Bold Dark Magic in regular and decaf...a nice dark roast with a really smooth aftertaste! THe Green Mountain Sumatra was really good too...but this one too much kick with not enough smooth flavour.
Cons: Unbalanced Or Sharp Acidity, Unpleasant Aftertaste
My favorite! The strongest K-Cup I have had...and I have tried A LOT over the past 3 years! I love dark, strong coffee and this K-Cup is just that. I used to be a Timothy's Midnight Magic fan until I came across this one. Much stonger and bolder than any other K-Cup I have tried.
This coffee is out of this world for me. I drink coffee literally ALL day long, every day and require a good strong blend to really enjoy and this one has been it for me! I've tried 4 other "dark" blends in K Cups plus the samples that came with my Keurig and this one has been the best for me. I also grind my own beans and use the filter and have yet to create anything near strong enough for me. So I savor these for when I first wake up and don't want to grind beans for either my Keurig or my other fast brewing coffee maker. I would think those who don't like a real strong coffee will think this has a bitter taste, however to me I think it's very powerful and smooth. Definitely only for those who want to have a strong enough cup that would grow some chest hair!
It's rare to find a coffee that will "put hair on your chest" and taste good. This is it. Probably the strongest K-Cup coffee I've had. It's strong at the full cup size. The taste is good and balanced...not bitter.
At the risk of copyright infringement, I must say that Double Black Diamond truly is "the best part of waking up"! Bold, smooth, and devilishly dark, it's just the wakeup call I need. Unlike French roasts, Double Black Diamond is dark and strong without tasting smokey or burnt, and has a smooth, clean finish with no bitter aftertaste (and no "coffee breath"!). The caffeine rush from it is different too...more "push" than "kick", and no crash later either. Overall, this is a 5-star brew, and if you like it strong and dark, you must try it yourself!
Pros: Pleasing Roast, Smooth Taste, Clean finish, No Bitter Aftertaste, Not Bitter, Attractive Mouthfeel/Body, Strong but not smoky
