Quiet tape, easy to roll

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a sample roll of the Sure Start tape and loved how easily it rolls across the package. Most of all, I loved how quiet it was when dispensing. I have used other tapes that are very noisy and hard to maneuver, but that is not the case with the Sure Start. I will be buying this in the future.

Strong shipping tape

Great sticking packing tape!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape sticks to boxes unlike other brands I’ve noticed. 3M doesn’t pop off the boxes leave your contents vulnerable.

Great tape. Hard to get roll started.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape is strong as you can get for packing and shipping. Secures boxes without needing a ton of extra tape to insure closure. The only problem I had was starting the roll. The tape claims “sure start” which I had a problem with. Most heavy duty packing tape has a starting tab to get the roll going. I had 3 people in my house try to get this roll going, 3m, please use a paper starting tab on the beginning of the roll. That’s one of the most frustrating things with any new tape roll.

Sure Start and Silent, but a Bit Thin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I volunteer to evaluate products for 3M, and was recently sent the Scotch® Sure Start Shipping Packaging Tape.
First, what I like: the refillable plastic dispenser is superb. It's designed with little plastic tabs on either side, underneath the blade, so that after you cut off your preferred length of tape, the end of the tape no longer flops down on the roll, leaving you to have to turn the roll around and around until you find the start. Instead, about and inch of the length of the tape is

Very Quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product from 3M to review. I liked how quiet and easy the tape was to unwind. At work, we have different ones that are so loud and hard to unroll, and the whole office can hear when you use it. For that reason this product would be a nice substitute. The stickiness seemed average. I was able to stick and unstick it from cardboard pretty easily. Definitely would not use it for a heavy box or anything heavy duty. Light shipping would be fine. I also had a tough time getting it started (the ends kept splitting apart), but once I got it going it was fine. Overall, pretty average for tape, but the quiet aspect could definitely be beneficial.

Solid 3m tape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Reviewing a free sample from 3m. The Sure Start tape was high quality tape, easy to use and apply. I didn’t see a big extra benefit to the Sure Start label. Whether the tape does or doesn’t roll back into the tape roll still depends on how the user uses the tape and finishes with the end. But, again, quality packing tape as always.
