Off to a Good Start

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product in exchange for a review. There is only so much one can find to say about shipping tape, as they are very similar. One good thing this Sure Start Scotch product has going for it is that the "lost" end, which usually ends up being firmly secured to the roll, is easier to find and start rolling out. And, it did not shred into multiple little strips! However, if you pull out a long roll of tape, it seems to have a lot of static, and sometimes will curl back and adhere to itself. Overall, I would say this product is an improvement over the irritating end-of-the-tape start/stop issue.

GREAT Packaging Tape!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this several times already for sending some items back to online retailers. Also used for sending a box to my grand niece who is graduating from the Air Force Academy. She said it looks pristine when she received it. I also used it to cover the address label in case the elements tried to smear the address. I HIGHLY recommend!! It is my packaging tape of choice!

Lives up to its billing

I got this sample via 3M's Sample Program, but I really didn't need it, having several rolls of this already around the house. I've bought a lot of cheaper versions, but this is among the most trustworthy products I've found. The Sure Start is easy to start as advertised and even when it sits unused for a long time, the glue doesn't get sticky or the tape fragile. I've had a few boxes with this tape in storage for a year and really find it reliable.

The tape is fine, but...

I bought a roll of this “easy to unwind” Scotch tape, hoping to avoid the continual battles with the regular tape being almost impossible to find the end to get started. This tape, although it has a gentler adhesive, is packaged so that the very thin and tight wrapping is almost impossible to find and get started. There are no indications or directions that this type is shrink wrapped with a very hard to see or feel cellophane wrapper. Took me many minutes of scratching and trying to guess how to get into the actual tape roll. Really nasty, and should have a starter flap that is easy to pull up and unwind the covering. Very, very frustrating. You’d think Scotch by now would have a handle on this, but not this time. The tape seems fine though

Horrible!!!

This tape does not stick and I do not trust it enough to send packages through the mail. The tape easily lifts off the roll sure enough, but once on the package it easily lifts off the package. The tape is unfortunately, quite useless for mailing packages and I couldn't imaging that it would be useful for anything....maybe Christmas wrapping paper.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Doesn't stick to any boxes. Is there glue on it?

Bought a three pack after my heavy duty ran out. Getting ready to move some thing to my business. I can't get the stuff to stick to cardboard moving boxes. It peels right off like there isn't any glue on the tape. It's terrible. It also falls off as you're moving packed boxes. I don't know if I received a lemon batch, but it's bad. Going back to heavy duty or possibly another brand. I have no confidence this will secure a small box of books. Save it for your doll collections
