I like the frogtape because it's easy to apply, especially when you have to paint so close to carpet and you don't want any paint to get on it. I would highly recommend using all Frogtape products when it comes to doing any paint work. I will recommend it to my family and friends, so it will make painting a whole lot easier and safe.
This product is very disappointing and much more expensive than regular painter's tape, we taped off crown molding to tape and no texturing to the walls. The paint bled through and did not deliver the sharp, crisp lines they say that it will. We will never purchase this again and will be sticking to the cheaper painters tape, which I never had a problem with getting sharp, clean lines.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was not happy with the other tapes that I'd tried when painting. My dining room has five doorways and three windows, so the amount of trim I need to protect from paint is substantial. I decided to give FrogTape a try since the other brands let paint seep under them, and they did not come off cleanly. I'll never go back! FrogTape kept the edges of my trim clean, AND came off like a dream!
I purchased the frog tape because I thought it would keep me from having paint bleed under the edges of the tape. I do have textured walls, but pressed the tape on the wall well enough that it should not have been a problem.
Now I have no choice but to go through and paint white where I was not expecting to because of the edge bleeding. I have 2 rolls of tape from 2 different locations and it bled from both.
Seems like I should have stuck with the cheaper "blue tape" rather that spend the extra money for the same results.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

About ten days ago, we started a painting project for our daughters’ bathroom. Before deciding on the color to use, we focused on the supplies needed and Frog Tape was first on the list, mainly because of the wonderful commercials and the quality of the product. I followed the directions exactly as stated on the back of the plastic container for the multi-surface tape. After carefully following the instructions, once the job was done and the paint had dried completely, I began to take off the tape. To our complete dissatisfaction the paint that was on the tape and walls pealed right off. I gave the painted walls a rough sanding and cleaning prior to painting with Valspar one coat only paint. We have used Frog Tape before and never had an issue, everything turned out as advertised.
Our next project is in the living/dining room wall where we want to put wide stripes on the walls with two, warm neutral color tones. This of course is a much larger project and our greatest fear is that the new paint will peel off together with the tape. I can only assume that this particular batch of tape did not meet the standards but was sent out anyway. On the back of the container and just below the telephone number appears the following sequence of numbers which are 315633 and the scanning code number is 82994 82021. Please have your QA Team look into this matter and explain to me what had happened with that batch.
