Frogtape same quality as the blue tape

Honestly, I had higher expectations of this product. Considering that I had to pay twice that of the blue painters tape. Now, I've so far painted one bathroom with just the blue tape which turned out horrible. Not only did the blue tape take the paint off the wall, it let paint seep under the tape as well as the tape would not come off on some parts of the baseboard and it took some paint off the wall.
Going back to the store, I picked up Frogtape multi-surface for the bigger bathroom. I was pretty excited that it had a Patent against "paintblock" since that was one of my biggest issues in the smaller bathroom. I was even more diligent when applying this tape. I pushed down multiple times with sharp edge against the areas (I wanted the tape to stick completely to the surfaces). I also was very carefully when painting near the tape. I was much less heavy handed around the trim and used an artist brush which is one inch wide to paint with. This took 10x longer to paint around the trim but I did not want to have to go over all the baseboards again with a razor blade scrapping like I did in the first bathroom which took just as long to scrape as it did to paint that bathroom.
When I removed the frogtape, I was pretty disgusted with the results. I honestly expected NO paint seeping under the tap. But in most areas (not all) on the baseboard the frogtape let paint seep underneath which now I'm going to have to go back over and scrap with a razor blade or paint over it.
Only positive note I have for the product that it did not leave any paint around the door frame which sadly is only 10% surface area that I had adhered the tape to.
I do not recommend this product because its twice the price of its competitors and its patent for Paintblock only worked 10% of the area in the room. Had frogtape stood up to its claims of paintblocking, I would have gladly paid three times that of the blue tape. Sadly, I'm now going to be spending a lot more time than I really wanted fixing the baseboards in this bathroom. I will also have to find another solution for taping the next room I decide to paint in the house. I'm hoping that may be I got a bad batch of tape but I'm not willing to go buy another roll to find that out.

Very disappointed tape did not stick at all. Put on wall and would start falling off as I was going around the room. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

This tape did not stick on anything, it was the worst product I have ever bought. Thought it would be amazing w/paintblock technology, that was never tested because it did not stick to any surface I tried.

Never again. Its back to 3M tape

I'm not new to painting or applying masking. I saw FROGTAPE at the local big box home improvement center and though I would give it a try on my current project. Keeps Paint Out. Keeps Lines Sharp. I don't think so... Unless there is a secret to using this product, that I'm unaware of, It's no better than other brands at 1/2 the price. There in nothing better or more productive then re-work and that's what I got. I'm going back to 3M Blue Tape.

Disappointing results

I purchased Frog Tape as I heard that it was a superior product over other painter't tapes, and wanted things to go well.
I started out using the narrow tape as I was unware that there were different widths. The narrow tape did not stay stuck in places and I had to restick it as I was painting. I also used some of the wide tape. I found it difficult to work with. It would curl up and stick to itself while trying to tape with it, and was hard to get apart. It was also hard to rip off, and had to keep using smaller lengths. When done painting, the smaller width tape would rip and did not come off very easily (baseboards#. With the smaller width, it pulled paint off when removing it along where it met the wall, and especially at the corners, so now I have paint missing at the edges. I removed the tape after painting the second coat which was done the next day after the first coat. Also at the open edges where two edges meet, there was some slight seepage of paint on the other wall #using the wider tape). Very frustrating after 4 days of painting, and now I have to figure out how to fix the mess.
