Best tape I've ever used!

from omaha, ne.
received a roll of Frogtape to try and then give my opinion, I was at first thinking this would work just like allot of the blue painters tapes i.e. not so good allot of the time. But I gotta tell ya I was impressed. Tape was easy to work with, and it didn't Bleed threw at all! used it to mask off a table that had 3 different stain colors and the lines all blended in just the way I wanted them to. Not sure it would have been a doable project without the Frogtape. Then I used it on some painted base on a pony wall that I hadn't painted the wall portion but had completed the base already and it worked flawlessly! Great product highly recommend it.
Having used cheap masking tape for many years I gave Frogtape a go. We have Silk paint for walls in the UK which is easy to wash over. With masking tape even though you are very careful it can peel the Silk paint back. With the orange Frogtape Gloss and Satin no problem at all. Even though Frogtape costs a lot more there is no going back now. Brilliant!
Frog tape was better than the ubiquitous blue painters tape I have used in the past. Here's what worked: 1) Apply the tape to the surface (wall, moulding, etc.) 2) Then use a damp/wet cloth to wipe along the tape while pressing firmly along the tape's edge. The moisture from the damp/wet cloth activates the tape edge to seal it against the wall. Then paint. 3) Remove the tape before the paint dries. Pull tape off at a 45 degree angle
When the tape was used following these instructions it worked beautifully without bleeding. I used the green Frog Tape on flat surface mouldings against textured walls, between textured walls and textured ceilings, and also at corners between two textured walls. No bleeding except for a small section where I forgot to wipe down the tape with a damp/wet cloth before painting.
I had no problem with the tape sticking to the surfaces. Make sure surface is dry before applying tape. Tape won't stick on wet surfaces. Also, tape removed easily and did not pull paint off the taped surfaces even though the wall I painted had two previous layers of paint.
Frog Tape is a real improvement over the blue tape and much easier than creating a tape edge barrier with silicon caulk. I will definitely use it again.
I purchased this tape to just do the edges from ceiling to wall. Two different colors. Well I was so excited to do the room that when removed the tape it bleed so bad I had to buy an edger to complete the job & it took so much extra time to do the job That I hated the room! The excitement was gone. very disappointed.
We were purchasing all the products we needed to repaint our son's bathroom. One of the products was the (1.41 in x 60 yd) Frog Tape, I had always used the "typical blue painters tape" but thought I would give this a try. Began taping out the ceiling and the tape would not stick and remain on the wall. I purchased 3 rolls of the same size, so I thought maybe it was just that roll, maybe something was wrong with it, so I opened one of the other rolls and the same exact thing happened. At this point I could not take them back because I had opened and used them. I DO NOT recommend this tape to anyone. Needless to say, I had to stop and run all the way back to the store from which I purchased the product, and got the trusted "Painters Blue Tape" and it did the job. Lesson here,, if you found something that works, do not change it!
