This sucks!

I bought this the other day to tape my trim. It took the paint off my trim. After days of painting, I now need to patch MANY areas to fix them bc of this awful tape. I will never use this again. I will never recommend it. I will tell everyone how awful this is.

Horrible tape!!!!

I purchased a steak for the second time the first time it worked fine but the second time I could’ve painted better straight lines without even using the tape. I’m not sure what has happened to this product in the last two years but it has definitely declined and a horrible product that I will never purchase again . I do not recommend this tape to anyone painting .

I bought this frog tape hoping that it is going to work better than the other brands and it is wider. However, this tape took off the paint when i was peeling it off. It is so frustrating because it took us 2 days to spray paint our ceiling and the frog tape took them off! Do not buy this tape! I wished I read the reviews before I used it.

I have painted plenty of walls in my life. I have not painted any in quite some time but decided to paint five rooms in my house. I purchased Frogtape for the first time and used it on all my wood trim to prep for painting the walls. I used my nails to seal it to the trim for a nice tight fit (as I have done with the blue and white tapes in the past) and took it off immediately after painting (working by sections) as I have done (and as instructed on the package) and voila!!!!! Hands down THE BEST painters tape I have ever used!!! There were a few spots of paint on the woodwork as expected. I don't expect perfection on anything because of user error (may not have gotten tape right up to wall) and the nature of painting (which can produce bleed etc...) but with a simple wipe with a damp cloth or cotton swab, I had near perfect results! This tape is by far the most superior painters tape I have ever used and I have already recommended it to friends. I will never buy another! Thank you for making my life easier and my rooms more beautiful. Bravo Frogtape!

Bought this tape in spite of its premium price because the clerk said it was the best tape on the market. Turns out he was just trying to up-sell me.
Used Frogtape to mask a project that I sprayed with an alkyd enamel. As soon as the paint touched the tape, the tape lifted and paint got everywhere it shouldn't have.
Was later told by a friend it should only be used with water based paint. I found nothing on the package to say that.
Recently used Frogtape to mask window glass on an exterior trim project. When I tried to remove the tape, it came off in small pieces wherever paint had covered the tape. Not much good for acrylic either it seems.
Conclusion: Avoid Frogtape. Regular tape is cheaper and works better.
THE GOOD: The green colour is pretty.
THE BAD: Expensive. Doesn't stick when used with oil based paints. Doesn't want to come off when used with water based paint. Not a good choice for wrapping packages either.
THE UGLY: My projects after using Frogtape

I had high hopes but was disappointed. Putting tape up made sure to press the edge tight to the wall. Paint still leaked behind it. I can do better freehand.

Nothing like painting twice

Used this tape for years. Never had a problem. But this recent roll is tearing up all of the paint I’ve already applied.
Incredibly thrilled to paint what I already have for the second time! I know why I choose Green Tape!
