Yes, you can scrape paint from window panes but using FrogTape Multi-Surface keeps the paint seal and saves from leaking moisture to wood in any high humdity setting. I won't paint window frames without it!
Prior to painting my kitchen walls, I used Frogtape.

Frogtape was excellent! I'm a very messy painter, so I need to put some kind of painters tape on any surface not being painted. Frogtape was very easy to use. Once I cleaned up my mess from painting, and took off the Frogtape, NOT ONE DROP of paint bled through the Frogtape! Love it!!!
this tape still bleeds. used on walls with sand in paint

I just got done painting our newly remodeled bathroom and when I peeled the green Frog Tape off, the paint came with it. Since I don't like to paint and had to make myself do it, this was doubly aggravating. Now I have to figure out how to fix the mess. Not a happy user and I won't buy it again. I haven't read everyone else's reviews on this site, but elsewhere on the web there are many reviews saying this same thing happened to others...

I used frog tape to mask off a large scale model that was being painted 2 tone. It says it is safe on paint, yet when I peeled it off 8 hours after I put it on, it had ruined the first layer of paint which had been left to dry for 4 days. It left texture and I can't color sand it as the paint is metallic. Not only was it a waste of my money to buy the tape, but now I also have to go buy new paint, and something that will safely strip the old paint.

I normally use blue tape for painting, but I thought I'd try this after hearing about it from a friend. It works as promised! Just as easy to apply as the regular tape and didn't get any bleed through on the first use. I did get some bleed through on a basement wall, but after looking at the FAQs I realized that it is not meant for bumpy surfaces (I won't make that mistake again). For the price, it's worth knowing I won't have to go back and touch up.
