this is without a doubt the best tape i have used,i just taped up skirting boards and architraves to an unsealed timber floor, then sprayed undercoat followed by 2 coats of waterbourne enamel, removed the tape and expected to see a bit of tape creep here and there but not a trace any where, this was taping around 5 door frames and about 60 metres of skirting board, nothing to scrape back or clean, great result
I needed a green sticky tape like material to use in a variety of processes. For this particular project, FrogTape was to serve two purposes. It substituted as a binding wrap for paper flowers that I make, like the floral tape one might find in bouquets. I did not want it to disintegrate, or make a glued mess as when you use paper.
The other method of use was to obtain a look of foliage: pieces which would become cut out leaf shapes. It saved me time, gluing and allowed me to make mistakes. I can get it in the right position, by re-sticking it. It took me awhile to work on my projects which were left half done- And then, I discovered green FrogTape.
I'm sorry to say that I had a very bad experience with this tape. I used it in my home office to paint a single wall. I carefully taped off the 2 side walls, the ceiling and the baseboard. As I have slightly textured walls I was very careful to ensure the tape was pressed into the recesses of the texture. The next day I painted the wall and allowed it to dry for more than 24-hours. Today I very carefully pulled off the green tape and have found that I have paint bleed on the ceiling, both side walls and the baseboard. As the previous owner did not leave any extra wall paint I now have to repaint the ENTIRE ROOM AND ALL THE BASEBOARDS. I'm frustrated and angry. I have the receipt and will try to return the remaining tape.
If anyone who has had a good experience with this tape can tell me where I went wrong, I'd love to hear it. Especially now as I'm facing repainting an entire room.
My husband and I recently bought a 106-year-old Victorian that we've been remodeling ourselves. As DIY and home remodel newbies, we assumed painter's tape was painter's tape. But Frog tape has consistently proven to be the better product, helping us with everything from painting large horizontal stripes in our bedroom to other painting, tiling and crafting projects. It performed awesome across the board. Never thought I'd be loyal to a tape product, but Frog tape has won my allegiance.
I used Frog Tape on the baseboards to paint the walls. Had bleed thru on all the baseboards. Wish I had read the reviews
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
