My husband and I are retired and one of our means of support is a number of rental apartments which have to be frequently painted. We do most of the interior paint ourselves. I am a perfectionist and belive that even the painting of a rental apartment should be done well. I have always used plain beige masking tape when I did anyspainting, when we did Heavely textured wall always bled. Frog Tape, while a littlte n\more difficult, to work . but the p;rofession results We get from using Frog makes my work look professional.
I've painted numerous rooms using 'blue tape' and spackle to seal the edges.. but ALWAYS got bleed through, since in TX , where I live, almost all homes are textured. My walls/ceilings are knockdown texture and after seeing the frogtape commercial online, I had to try it. Follow the directions, press firmly, apply the previous paint color, then the new color, and wallah.. to my surprise.. it actually worked .. I did another another ceiling-wall section and it worked again without a single bleed through.. I am truly impressed.. no more blue-tape for me.
I love this tape. I used it to create vertical lines in my son's bedroom. The tape did not leak (except for in a few textured spots I didn't do as well.) I was impressed by how easily the tape pulled off and didn't pull off any paint.
