Why buy them?

Having bought these whilst woefully misinformed. They might sound very good, be small, convenient and lightweight but...
After 1 year the battery begins to degrade and does so completely by about 2 years. No way to replace them and no Apple Care or other policy
will cover.
So just an expensive short term rental which the salespeople don’t tell you.

Good sound. Not the best but pretty good. Noise cancelling works well. Lack of volume control takes some getting use to. Either have to use Siri or iPhone to control volume not always convenient. Got them as a gift. That said if I had to spend 350 dollars plus tax of my own money, I would say better and cheaper alternatives. These should cost no more than 250 dollars. Recharging and small case is great.

great product/wrong combo

Everything worked as advertised, but in the end, I could not get them to work properly with my Galaxy S8. That is my fault, not the Airpod's...in the end I decided to return them for Bose which work great with my Galaxy
