I had my old Z Fold 3 which was 3 years old when my new Z Fold 6 came in. Everything was easy to set up right out of the box. I did have an issue with my E SIm getting it downloaded from AT&T. Once it was download, service was a breeze from that point. My 256 GB old phone, which was half full, took about 2 hours to transfer. Very happy with my new phone. Battery is awesome and screen is beautiful compared to my old phone. It is a winner in my book.
Like: -Overall build quality. Especially the exclusive black color is great. Feels very grippy in the hand. -Great performance. -Great screeny. -Above average battery, depends on usage but no issues getting through the day with normal use. -Nice pre-order trade-in's values.
Cons: -Front screen width. This is more of a personal choice, but I wish the front screen was more like a normal phone width. -Cameras are not on par with flagship phones. For an expensive phone like this, you expect everything to be top grade. -No built in s-pen slot and it doesn't work on the outer screen.
The fold 3 is still the best aspect ratio for the inner screen that the fold has ever had. But every single aspect of this phone is better than the 3, besides that.. Its super fast, the battery life is better, the screens are great, the build is excellent and lightweight, the AI is tons of fun. I tried to replace the 3 twice before this but returned the devices. This one does it. I bought this expecting to utilize the return option, but I happily traded in my 3 for this one.
My first fold device so I'm truly ecstatic about using it. First week of usage, went out to the eastern sierras and took plenty of memorable pictures. I dropped the device on the second day of ownership but no biggie it meant for heavy use and it handle the beating well. All an all i'd say this device is perfect for adventures.
