Backup Refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator as a backup to our main kitchen refrigerator mainly to use for cold drinks, water bottles, etc...The price was good and for a basic model it works well for our family. It has ample storage in both the top freezer section as well as the cooler section.

Spacious and quiet

After purchasing another brand refrigerator brand new in May that was less then serviceable because ice formed on the walls of the freezer I love this one. After many complaints, it was replaced but the same thing happened to the new one. They finally were forced to let me choose another brand. I am now very happy to report that my new Whirlpool is wonderful. I'm sorry that I didn't buy Whirlpool in the first place. If I have one complaint it would be the shelves in the freezer door. It's easy for most things to slip through them but I can deal with that.

very good and roomy fridge

The size of this fridge is deceptive because it is much roomier than you would think. My electric bill has gone down because it is so efficient. The bins on the door of the refrigerator section hold so much without diminishing the interior that I can store much more than with my old Maytag. I have only one complaint and that is that the door bins on the freezer section are shallow and have a large gap at the bottom that allows things to fall out very easily so that narrow things are difficult to store there.

It was starting to run all the time raising my utility bill more than what I could afford. I am on a strict budget from a fixed income. I took an Energy Class sponsored by DTE and found out I qualified for the refrigerator through their recycling program. I was blessed with an Energy Star Efficient new refrigerator!! Thank You to Whirlpool and DTE and MCOP for making this a true blessing in my Life.
