Power fluctuations? No more

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This APC UPS has saved me from power outages and fluctuations for a while. It may be a bit hard to set up if you're not tech-savvy. It's 750VA, meant for small and medium devices like computers and routers.
I just have a computer and a monitor plugged into it; it works great with a small setup. I recently had a power outage, plugged my phone in to charge it, and it worked perfectly.
When the power goes out, it lasts an average of 3 hours on battery if I'm using my computer; if not, it can last even longer (once it went on for 5 hours straight). It gives a brief warning before shutting down completely.
The only small issue I had was that it may cause interference due to radio frequency. I had to move the router farther from the UPS so it wouldn't affect my WiFi signal, which was easy to solve. I didn't move the UPS itself because it is so heavy that I need help to move it around, as it weighs around 40lbs.
Additionally, you can connect a sensor to measure the temperature of your computer center! Awesome for monitoring and keeping an eye on the temperature of the room. Even though I don't have a rack, it also includes the aluminum pieces to do a professional mounting in your computer center. Also, I love that it included all the past QA tests made by the company, ensuring it's a top-notch product.
Remember to pull out the battery and turn it off! And if you need to use the power outputs while on battery, press the on button and wait 2 seconds to select the option to activate them. Overall, it's a very nice UPS.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ll be upfront, I don’t have a server rack at home and I haven’t thought about getting one. I did carve out a spot for this unit in my WFH office setup though. I work on important projects where a friend computer or power outage can have a huge negative impact on my work and finances. So if you work from home or are a gear enthusiast, I wouldn’t let that hold you back from buying this.
As timing would have it, it passed the test during a power outage in my area, right when I was in the middle of a time consuming project. This unit saved the day and kicked in immediately to give me the runway to finish and save my work properly. That moment alone was worth orth the purchase entirely.
This unit keeps your gear same from power outages and brown outs, and the AVR corrects minor voltage fluctuations, without taking additional steps or time. The SmartConnect monitoring (via the cloud) allows you to keep an eye on things. I didn’t expect to use it that much in the beginning, but I really did!
The LCD screen is a nice touch and the overall build functions and looks solid. Dependable.
My only note is setup can be a little overwhelming for a newbie , and that unit is hefty. It is heavy, but should t affect anyone using it with the proper mount rack. If you’re seriously about your setup and safeguarding your work (and gear pf course!) then don’t hesitate and pick up this unit.
I highly recommend this for product, no matter what your setup is. If his makes me want to try the smaller, desktop model as well for other office setup. I’d love to see what that could do too!

Quality UPS

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The SMT750 UPS has worked well to keep our network rack running over short power outages and has definitely minimized work disturbances for the office. Install was a little difficult because it's so heavy, but it's manageable with two people. We haven’t tried the network connectivity yet, but the LCD display is easy to read and navigate to keep an eye on things.

Plug and play. Works instantaneously after plugging it in . This product works as intended and it does what it’s supposed to do. The noise is very low which is great. It’s also the perfect size and it’s not too heavy. I recommmned this to anyone who wants to keep their products safe for local home network, desktops or servers at home.

Very Nerdy Tech for Techy Nerds

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a desktop user living in the Northeast, working on a web app, and I decided to pick up this UPS because of the occasional brownout or brief power loss. Having a reliable UPS seemed like a healthy way to protect my work, allow for graceful shutdowns, and ride out power inconsistencies without risking my PC or losing progress.
This thing is a beast. Heavy, sturdy, and definitely not subtle. You’ll feel it when you lift it. Setting it up as a desktop user was… not trivial, and I probably would have been lost without a bit of guidance.
Once it’s running, though, it’s impressive. The Smart Network Card gives you a read on energy use (through the UPS) and environmental stat (like the temperature sensor that came with it) is interesting and probably useful. Mounting or positioning it for everyday desk use is going to require some creativity (as a riser on my desk or some dedicated shelf), but the hardware itself feels solid and reliable. Not for casual users, but if you’re willing to wrestle with the setup, it delivers exactly what it promises. Nerd Level: 4/5.

The APC Smart-UPS 750VA Rackmount 2U is a reliable line-interactive uninterruptible power supply designed for small to medium server racks, network closets, or IT setups needing clean power protection in a compact form factor. I notice it gives me 5-6 minutes at full load (500W), and it is then 16 minutes at half load (250W). This I think is sufficient for graceful shutdowns. It features an Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR), hot-swappable battery, LCD display for status monitoring, and a SmartSlot for optional network card.
This product earns praise from me for durability. I would describe it as solid and reliable, with flawless operation that I’m sure will last me years. It's a go-to for protecting routers, switches, firewalls, and small servers from surges, sags, and outages. Unlike other modified sine wave UPS units, this provides clean power compatible with active PFC power supplies, there is no compatibility issues with modern hardware. The 2U design fits well in space-constrained racks. The LCD interface is intuitive for local configuration, and features like AVR extend battery life by correcting minor voltage fluctuations without switching to battery.
The fact that it has a Hot-swappable battery means there wouldn’t be downtime for replacements, and predictive battery alerts help with planning.
