Why should something this pricey be so complicated? Simply printing is fine but if you want more, like scanning and pdf's it's time to call for help and updates galore. Had it for a week and still working on it. Surely Canon has enough experience to make it work so it says out of the box and not make us do it all, especially if one is not a techie.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Initial set up is PIA, excuse my language.
