The Best Echo I've Owned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a tech enthusiast and someone who appreciates the convenience of voice-activated devices, I recently added the Amazon Echo Show 5 to my smart home setup. Having spent time exploring its features and integrating it into my daily routine, I'm excited to share my first-hand experience and thoughts on this compact smart display. I previously used an Echo Spot as a family hub in my Kitchen and I'm really pleased with how much of an upgrade the Echo Show 5 is.
The Echo Show 5 has a sleek, minimalist design with a compact footprint that fits seamlessly into my kitchen. Its 5.5-inch touchscreen display is the perfect size (and a big upgrade from the 2.5-inch display on my Echo Spot). It's great for displaying family photos, watching Prime Videos, viewing recipes, and even making video calls. My kids love to make calls to their cousins who live out-of-state. Using Alexa, it's easy enough that my 5 year-old can do it.
Voice recognition is a big upgrade on this Echo Show. The mics seem much more sensitive than my old Echo Spot and Alexa's even quicker to respond than she used to be. I have a bunch of smart light switches in my house and it's super handy to use Alexa to quickly turn them on and off, or create routines to automate turning them on at dusk or when we first wake up. In the kitchen, we set lots of timers and reminders for upcoming activities, as well as checking out the weather forecast. My kids love playing with skills like Would You Rather, Freeze Dance, and This Day in History.
I love using the Echo Show 5 to stream music from Pandora. The speakers are a huge upgrade over my old Echo Spot and provide much better sound definition and punchier base. If I want a big boost in sound quality, I can turn on my living room's receiver and stream music to it from the Echo Show via Bluetooth. This is awesome as I can get excellent sound quality and still use Alexa to easily control it or switch to different stations. My kids love listening to podcasts and through our Audible account my kids can find fun podcasts and audiobooks to explore their own interests independently.
The Amazon Echo Show 5 is easily the best Echo product I've owned. It has a great display, sensitive and responsive integration with Alexa, and great sound quality. I'm super happy with it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Echo Show 5 is a good companion device I use as a kitchen radio, digital photo album, and information hub as I'm getting ready in the morning to check weather and train departures. You can also drop in on the Echo as a security camera or webcam when you leave the house using the Alexa phone app.

I’m sure there are tons of uses I haven’t discovered yet too! Set up is simple as long as you have all your logins handy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received my Echo Show 5 3rd Gen just a few days ago so this is just a first impressions review. I bought this for my home office to be able to more easily answer my Ring doorbell, listen to music and do other supplementary tasks so I can dedicate my computer’s screen real estate and processing power to work. So far, answering the door and keeping an eye on my Ring cameras works without a hitch (albeit it takes awhile to load the feed). I was able to ask Alexa to play podcasts from Amazon Music as well as cast Spotify from my phone. Alexa’s response time seems noticeably faster. The bass is noticeable but not overpowering, which is actually a plus as I want music to be localized to this room and not bother others in the house. Highly recommend

I already own the echo dot but I have to say that the echo show 5 is my favorite new device. I love that it has a smart display which is great for storing pictures and watching your favorite youtube videos or listening to amazon music. I love waking up to the picture of my loved ones as well as a alarm that plays my favorite song. Also that I can make video calls on this device with my family is another great thing to love about the Echo show 5. Overall this is a great smart device that I would recommend wholeheartedly.
