A Powerful but Niche Monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The G90XF is one of the more unique monitors I’ve used recently. As someone who works in tech, I split my time between project management tasks, design reviews, and unwinding with some high-paced gaming in the evenings, and this monitor hits a lot of those marks well.
Out of the box, the build quality feels solid and premium. The visual clarity is top-tier,
colors are sharp, brightness is impressive, and the high refresh rate makes a real difference when I’m switching between dashboards, CAD-style tools, and gaming. I mainly use it for productivity during the day, and it’s more than capable of handling multiple tabs, project software, and design files without any noticeable lag or ghosting.

In the evenings, I fire up a few FPS titles, and this monitor really shines. The motion clarity and responsiveness are on point. It gives a noticeable edge when tracking fast movement, and the fluid visuals make gameplay more immersive.
The only downside, and the reason I docked one star is the 3D software. It's a cool concept, but it's not quite there yet. The installation and setup were a bit awkward, and while it has potential, the user experience just isn't polished. It feels like a beta feature rather than something production-ready. That said, I’m hopeful for future software updates.
Overall, I’d recommend this monitor for anyone who wants a high-performance screen for both work and play, especially if you’re into tech and like experimenting with cutting-edge features. Just be aware that the 3D aspect is still evolving. For me, it’s been a solid upgrade and fits well into both my productivity and gaming setups.

G90XF Delivers Where It Counts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The G90XF has been an absolute game-changer for my setup. After using it daily for a few weeks, I can confidently say it strikes the perfect balance between work productivity and fast-paced gaming.
During the day, I’m constantly switching between emails, browser tabs, project dashboards, and video calls, and this monitor handles it all effortlessly. The screen real estate and clarity make multitasking feel natural. Text is sharp, visuals are vibrant, and there’s no eye strain even after long hours of use. It’s helped me stay more focused and efficient, especially when I’m deep into planning or reviewing files.
But when the workday wraps up, this monitor really comes alive for gaming. The responsiveness is unreal. I mostly play FPS and competitive titles, and the high refresh rate combined with the low latency gives me a noticeable edge. Everything feels smooth, crisp, and immediate, like I’m more connected to the game. It’s honestly hard to go back to any other screen after experiencing gameplay like this.
I haven’t used the 3D features much, and while I can tell the software could use some polish, it hasn’t been a major factor for me. The core experience is already so strong that the extra features feel like a bonus.
If you're someone who needs a powerful display for serious productivity during the day and seamless high-performance gaming at night, the G90XF won’t disappoint. It’s easily one of the best tech upgrades I’ve made in a long time.

3D monitor for 3D movies

For the best experience, stay within a maximum distance of one meter—watching from farther away may cause double imaging. If you're viewing 3D movies with subtitles, PotPlayer is the ideal choice for clear text display, as other media players may introduce flickering.
Regarding 2D-to-3D conversion, while it does create a 3D effect, the experience is not as immersive as watching native 3D films. I also wish the monitor documentation were more comprehensive. After several trial-and-error configurations, plugging in the USB connector along with HDMI finally got the app working, unlocking its full potential.

Incredible 3D Experience

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 3D technology implemented on the G90XF is the next step in immersion. It looks better than 3D glass equipped displays of the past because of the close proximity and ability to adjust where you sit relative to the monitor at will.
The result is legitimate 3D immersion that had me putting my hands out in front of me to try and feel objects projecting outward from the screen. It's something you have to experience to believe.
The Samsung Reality Hub extends this experience to anything with full screen support so even using the youtube app will allow you to autoconvert content to 3D which is amazing. Besides the 3D functionality though, underneath is a super high quality 4K IPS panel that is crystal clear. Motion handling is also very good with no blur or ghosting at 165hz.
Overall it's an amazing monitor for both those who have never experienced 3D as well as those who have been waiting for its come back.

Awesome monitor with great party trick

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely stunning display. Colors are vibrant, and it is very sharp and crisp, this is the best screen I have seen this year. It is surprisingly very light as well, lighter than my old 27” monitors. The stand allows to adjust height and also orientation which is pretty good. I had mine mounted though, since I already have setup. One of my concerns with specialized screens is whether the added features compromise standard use, but that's not the case here. The 3D filter, when turned off, does not get in the way at all; you wouldn't even notice the monitor has this special 3D capability, ensuring an uncompromised 2D experience for everyday tasks and content. Speaking of the 3D capability, it is absolutely mind-blowing. The glasses-free experience is a significant leap forward, eliminating the discomfort and inconvenience of traditional 3D glasses. You just need to be sitting relatively stable. The cameras on the monitor track the eyes and renders 3D like magic. And it is very, very good. This is something you have to see for yourself, since I can’t really show that on camera. There are handful of games officially supported by Samsung for the 3D effect. It also allows any full screen window (game or video) to turn into 3D, although the effect if a bit less dramatic than the officially supported games.
Speaking of compatibility, that’s where the monitor falls a bit short. The 3D effect is achieved through Samsung’s proprietary software which is Windows only at the moment. I tried connecting my PS5 and the 3D effect was not available. It officially supports in about 10 games at the moment. Although the 3D effect is very good, I feel the number of supported games seem a bit lacking. Full screen can also be converted to 3D through their software, however the effect is a bit less dramatic than officially supported games, and a very powerful GPU is needed to run things this way. I have 3080 which is listed as minimum requirement for 3D conversion, the process bogs down quite significantly and I was not able to get smooth experience as the officially supported games.
I wish Samsung would find way to officially support large library of games as that would provide the best experience. Also I wish the monitor could show 3D natively and not through the proprietary software.
Despite some of shortcomings, this is a very high quality monitor with awesome 3D features. For users with a capable Windows machine and a recent high-end GPU, you simply won’t find another 3D monitor that delivers a better glasses-free experience than this. It’s a glimpse into the future of immersive displays.

Amazing Monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This monitor is the perfect addition to my office. I use it for work, home, and gaming everyday - it can handle everything! The glasses free 3D is incredible and really brings my movies and games to life - feels like they are jumping out of the screen. This is further enhanced by the AI 3D video conversion feature, since anything I want to watch is made more real. The Reality Hub option is great for finding gaming content that works with the 3D features. With dual speakers, I hear all my movies and games with even more intensity. The edge lighting is an awesome add on, making images really pop on the screen. With a 165 Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time, none of my games or movies ever lag. G-sync compatibility improves the flow of my movies and games as well.

A *Deeper* Gaming Experience!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new monitor from Samsung just about has everything that most high end 27-inch 4K IPS monitors have and then slaps on a game-changer: 3D without glasses! Typical stuff like 4K resolution, 165Hz refresh rate are present as expected so you’re getting razor sharp clarity and butter smooth motion. Details pop, HDR10+ support ensures wide color coverage so you get vibrant, accurate color reproduction. Even though it's not an OLED or mini-LED panel, it’s bright & punchy. Glossy screen finish adds greater impact on perceived color depth and image contrast.
The metal chassis is sleek and refined and fits high-end gaming or productivity setups. The Aurora lighting feature throws light onto the base and it’s subtle but beautiful. The integrated speakers, however, were a pleasant surprise - clear, decently loud, eliminating the need for external speakers. This shocked me upon the first listen. I’d actually use these while gaming to be honest.
Glasses-free 3D. This is where this G90XF sets itself apart. The AI driven 2D to 3D conversion works impressively, giving subtle depth and separation between foreground and background objects. It’s pretty neat. However, it's native 3D content, especially the Side-by-Side (SBS) formatted content, where the experience becomes truly next-level. Watching a video of a snake slither toward the screen, my kids and I were freaking out - we actually screamed and instinctively leaned back.
Games: Reality Hub is still developing and it can be a tiny bit touchy, which is allowed, since this is all still in its infancy. However when the effect works it does its job well and it’s impressive. Titles that do support 3D offer an immersive gaming experience that made me trying to “grab" objects on occasion! I have a laptop powered by a RTX 4070 and my desktop PC has a RTX 4090. Both were able to handle gaming without issue, however the documentation on Samsung's end could’ve been better: I had to resort to Reddit to figure out you absolutely have to have the USB cable plugged in from the back of the monitor to the device you’re using.
Other than that though, the Samsung Odyssey 3D G90XF is a future forward monitor that delivers incredible clarity outside of 3D content and a mind-blowing 3D experience without glasses. That aspect of it is probably the biggest draw. 3D glasses supporting screens have been a thing for decades, but if you want to experience what I can only call genius innovation, this monitor is a thrilling piece of technology.

Beautiful Monitor for Work and Play

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a versatile monitor that has been great for both work and play! The 27" glossy screen makes colors pop and the 4k resolution gives plenty of room for multiple apps while text is crisp and clear. I've really enjoyed watching videos in 3D and the AI conversion looks great! The built-in speakers can get quite loud which allows me to clear off my desk's speakers. I also like how the LED edge lighting casts a nice ambient glow on my desk.
