Its a grea monitor

Great gaming monitor with TV features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This G70D is great gaming monitor. It has usb ports as a hub. The display quality is better than any lcd screens I have used. Only slightly worse than the LG OLED monitor I used.
This monitor can also serve as TV since it has Samsung Tizen OS.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Plan to use for gaming, some work/web browsing, and maybe TV. Seems like I need to mess with color settings to get this to look as good as it can. SmartTV settup process is lengthy. Some features I don’t need immediately may be hard to find later.

Perfect Picture and Great Quality!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The price is what really sold me on the Odyssey G7 so of course I had to buy two. Between playing games and watching videos the quality is definitely there and having two gives me the freedom in multitasking. The install was super easy and simple straight out of the box. My surprise was that it's basically not just a monitor ,but a Smart TV also ,totally a plus in my book. This monitor is perfect for my needs and I know it'll look great in your setup too!

Great hardware, absolute trash software

Just like their smart TVs (which technically this is, just without the tuner), their hardware is great, but the software is absolute trash.
Do you like to setup your display just perfect and then have all the settings erased just because you switched inputs? Then get this display!
Do you love notifications always popping up, even though you tick the box to not show it again? Then this is the display for you!
Do you like to use the USB ports on your monitor as a hub, then be constantly berated by warning messages about smart features not working because you're using it that way? Then yup, this is definitely the one for you!
Maybe you like to have a Mac and PC connected using HDMI and Display Port? Well this display hates Macs and every so often will detect it as a streaming stick then completely wipe all the saved settings (you will HAVE to use BetterDisplay with this if using a Mac to make it looks its best).
Or maybe you want to be constantly pestered about connecting your Samsung Buds to it, even though you tell it to stop asking - yeah thats a great feature thats included!
Speaking of features, one of my favorites is when it keeps waking up during sleep, only to give a no signal detected message (because the computers are asleep), and show a 60sec countdown before it turns off....only for it to happen over and over again.

Should monitors be smart? Probably not, but theres no going back from that, unfortunately.
Multiview is a nice idea, and Id use it if it wasnt for the fact that it drops your resolution from 4k to 1080, even in PiP mode.
The RGB light. is a gimmick unless you have a very specific need/desire to have a washed out RGB light ring on the wall behind the monitor.
So really, whats the point of all the fancy features?

The actual quality of the display is great and very customizable to suit your tastes.
(as long as you dont plan on ever switching inputs)
This can be a great option for productivity or for gaming and entertainment.
The picture is crips, clear and smooth.
So if you can ignore all the annoying features then go for it. Personally though, I wish I would have returned it and got something else.
