I am the guy that spends days and days researching for the closest thing to a perfect backpack. Being active military I have been issued numerous bags that all served a particular purpose but never checked off all those boxes for me. Well Mystery Ranch for me, has solved that problem. Their 2 Day Assault is just what I needed for several different pack carrying situations. When I need to go out to the field for days, it carries all my military related gear needed plus with the padded and suspended laptop compartment (my laptop size 14.25 W 10.75 D) makes keeping your high value electronics safe when needed to toss your pack around at times. It has two top loading compartments which have water proof sealing YKK zippers. Harness system is by far the best I have used and is adjustable depending on your torso size. Now, when not out in the field, it will carry all my non military gear plus my pistol caliber carbine (Stribog SP9A1 w/ folding brace) within the laptop/hydration bladder compartment (for reference). Materials used are the best in class versus total weight of the pack and the tri zipper system (also water proof sealing) is streamlined and functional for getting to your items fast. Big dump style outer side pockets along with molle attachments and load lifters make this a all around daily carry or field ready pack.

Fantastic! Beats the 3 day pack in my opinion that i was issued. 2 day can old nearly all the same. Wish the same quick reach pocket on top if the 3 day pack was on the 2 day pack but the side open is pretty nice as well.
