[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been a samsung user since the first Galaxy became available. I've have used other phones briefly but I always return to the Galaxy. My favorite feature since the note has been the built in stylus pen. Which is why I am using the S24 Ultra now.

Refining Excellence
on March 3, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra takes everything that made its predecessor a powerhouse and refines it further, making it one of the most compelling flagship phones of 2024. While it doesn’t reinvent the wheel, the subtle improvements in design, performance, and AI-driven features make it a solid upgrade—especially for those coming from older models. Further more the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra refines an already excellent formula, focusing on durability, AI software, and camera enhancements. If you own an S23 Ultra, the upgrade might feel minor. But for those coming from older devices (S21 Ultra, Note series, or any other flagship from 2021 or earlier), this is a top-tier choice with 7 years of software updates, making it a long-term investment..

I've had this phone for a year, and initally loved it; it had some cons compared to the s23 Ultra with the camera, but ultimately it was better in most ways.
I want to name some key issues that led to the low score: - the oleophobic coating was fantastic while it lasted; it was gone within a year, and the result is the opposite effect. It is now much harder to clean the screen, particularly water spots. - the big screen is great... when it lets you watch full screen. Across multiple services, it's frustratingly common for a show or movie to leave a cm buffer around the entire picture. This is not a settings issue -- I've checked and double checked, and it's inconsistent when it does or doesn't happen -- nor is it a localized app issue. Most frustratingly is everyone blames everyone else. The screen size was a big draw, and to watch content with a significant buffer is frustrating. - I noticed a degrading in picture quality around the time the S25 started entering the conversation. Could be a coincidence.
I wavered between 3 and 4, and chose 4 because it's ultimately a good phone, but was close to choosing 3 because these issues don't seem to be acknowledged, though many others have named them.
