This extender works great I use it in my room for gaming I saw a huge difference right away oh and disable 2g and just use 5g works alot better and use the ethernet port if at all possible over all it's great, easy setup.
The product works ( finally) but the instructions for set up are confusing and trying to get to the right website even more so . Otherwise I am satisfied with the product but something needs to be done to shorten the time required to set it up.
While I have good internet at home: 300 Mbs range up and down, back bedroom office only has about 30ish Mbs. This model only boosted that to about 100 Mbs. I tested against the AC2600, and the AC2600 can boost to 200 Mbs in same location. So I will be purchasing that one now.
Instructions to activate were reasonably easy to follow. It worked right away after activation. Connected internet phone to it. It is a week now since activation and has been working continuously without any failures.
My TV is the basement rec room wasn't get an adequate signal from my modem on the 2nd floor of my house. The pods supplied by the internet service provider had a very poor output and didn't help my streaming and connectivity issues. The TP-Lin Wireless AC 1200 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Range Extender did the trick. I am now finally watching my TV without signal interruption. Whew!
Tried this product after disappointing results with a similat off shore online purchase. Understandable installation and setup instructions. No operationsl problems after 2 weeks use. Works as expected. Corrected problem with a wifi based garage door opener that was not receiving sufficient signal from my router.
Works well and it was easy to setup. Very clean and slim looking. Perfect for traveling or just to have a clean area for all 3 of your devices. I love it.
