Good build quality. Some flaws.

I was really excited about this saw. My initial impression taking it out of the box was a good one. Build quality is excellent. Slide is smooth with almost no deflection. Plus it’s light weight for a 10 inch. So I decided to take it for a test and build myself some miter saw wings. This is when I found some flaws. First, the miter detent plate is tough to read. I find myself moving around to get the light just right. Second, when you go to miter a 45 to the right, the motor housing hits the fence. So you can’t finish your cut without moving the fence. Even worse, if you push past that initial hit, then the fence hits the blade lock button. I’m confident if someone pushes hard enough it’ll break. So now I don’t know what to do. Please advise Bosch! Otherwise I might have return this one. I really don’t want to. I like it!

20 yrs interior carpenter. This saw is a disaster. Seems to have been designed by the kitchen appliance department. This needs to be discontinued and replaced with a better version. Led light is pointless. 0 dust collection even with 6hp vac. Bladegaurd has waves in the plastic so the cutting mark looks like the tide coming in so I have to lift the guard to line up my shot before cutting. The arbor is bent so the blade has a wobble making the kerf of the blade an 1/8th wider after the cut. It's loud and I mean LOUD. Even the hex wrench storage is held in with a rubber ring so that should disappear on site. All in all an appalling product to put out there. I normally run my Makita 36v 10" so maybe ive been spoilt. Also this bosch dosent even have a depth stop which is actually important to have on there. I tried to upload photos of the view through the bladeguard and the amount of sawdust from 10 cuts but it dosent work.
