Have two of these in a Datacenter environment. Quiet operation, great management.

The apc - APC Smart-UPS On-Line, 5.4kVA, Rackmount 3U, 208V, 2x L6-20R+2x L6-30R NEMA outlets, Network Card+SmartSlot, Extended runtime, W/ rail kit [TAA] is priced reasonably and serves as a reliable addition to any IT application. Unit is easy to mount. Paired with the smart slot network card as well as the wireless communication adapter, there is a great sense of peace of mind provided by this unit. For our IT professionals, there are many benefits to be gained with the use of this unit. The display is well visible and easy to navigate through the options and settings. The values as well as run time are easy to keep track of. There are many applications that this unit would be helpful with. Battery replacements are simple to do. Maintenance is easy as well. The environmentally conscious manufacturing makes this a great buy. Worth it on many levels.

Great standby time, Form Factor as well as unit comes with Rails for rack mounting. Thing is a beast, but but also quite small for what it can really do

Compact yet powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been running this APC Smart-UPS On-Line 5.4kVA for over a year now in our small data center, and it's been absolutely fantastic. What I love most is the true online design - during power fluctuations and outages, our servers never experience even the slightest interruption, which is critical for our 24/7 operations. The 3U form factor is perfect for our space-constrained rack, giving us serious power protection without eating up valuable rack real estate like larger units would. The mix of L6-20R and L6-30R outlets perfectly matched our server and storage equipment requirements, and the extended runtime feature has saved us multiple times during longer outages - we easily get 45+ minutes of runtime with our full load. The network management card is incredibly useful for monitoring power conditions remotely and scheduling maintenance, plus the SmartSlot gives us room for future expansion options. Installation was a breeze with the included rail kit, and the unit runs quietly enough that it doesn't add noticeable noise to our server room. For the price point, you really can't beat the combination of true online protection, compact size, and enterprise-grade features - this UPS has been rock solid and gives me complete confidence in our power infrastructure!

Good product, poor support

Purchased this for a customer of mine. Not only did the SE engineer recommend the wrong product for my customers environment once, but twice!! With 2 RMA's, this wasted hours of time of multiple people and gave the customer a bad impression.
Cons: Difficult to Use, Lacking Vendor Support
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
