Melting

I do like the pods. The only reason I didn’t give. 5 star is that I have noticed when they melt in the washer sometimes they melt on my laundry. I’ve noticed this on my sheets and other clothing.

Child proof lid

I bought Tide Pods as a convenience. I cannot get the child proof lid off by myself. The span of my hand is not wide enough. My husband had a terrible time today removing the lid and we decided we won't buy Tide Pods anymore. There has to be a better way! People need to keep Tide Pods away from their kids (watch them) and keep the government out of your business.

Good news is we have our PODS™ bags if you'd like to give that a try. They have a Child-proof zipper that keeps them safely stored away from kids, but easy for adults to open and close. Not original scent!

The scent is so overpowering and not the original scent that I have been using for years. It smells of cheap perfume and it lasts for days on clothes. I will have to find another brand.

Too smelly

I can’t stand the smell. I had to rinse my clothes 4 times. I had a large load, so used 2 pods. Way too much perfume. Not cheap either. Should come with an eye dropper.

Hate them!!

I had to quit using Tide pods because were destroying our clothing. They don’t dissolve like Tide claims. Therefore destroying sheets, blankets, t-shirts

All my clothes are ruined

I had a brand new sweatshirt I had never worn and it along with an entire load is now ruined with blue stains ALL over them from the detergent. I rewashed the load with no detergent and also with detergent and it did not make a difference so many of my clothes now ruined. As a college student I am beyond disappointed because I cannot afford to replace any of it, including my work clothes. I am so upset do NOT buy this product.l

The only thing we expect the PODS™ to leave behind is a fresh scent, so we're disappointed to hear this, Madalynne! To remove those spots, we recommend soaking the items overnight in water, then rewashing in the hottest water safe for the fabric, with no detergent. Love the pods, hate the container

I have a been a loyal Tide user for more than 50 years as it has always been the most reliable detergent. Cleans well and smells great. And with the convenience of Tide pods I love it even more.
However, I absolutely hate the plastic container that they come in. For mature people it is difficult to pick up with one hand and hold on to. I thought about buying the smaller containers with the "zip" top, but it is more economical to buy the larger sizes. Would be great if Tide could modify the pod containers to have a handle like the liquid containers instead of the indentation grab holds.
Pros: Price, Satisfaction, Smell
I would recommend this to a friend!

It ruined my kids clothes

I’ve been a loyal tide customer for 28 years I used the pods because of my new machines and all my kids clothes got stained I figured pay for the best and you get the best and I was wrong I’m very disappointed

We can't thank you enough for your 28 years in our Tide family, John. Tide is designed to be water-soluble, so the stain should come out. To remove it, rewash the item in the hottest water safe for your fabric. For the best results each time, make sure there is enough space for the detergent to dissolve, as well as not putting too many absorbent items in the wash at one time.
