Our PODS™ should always dissolve fully for you, and we’re sorry to hear you’re having trouble. It’s important to always add the laundry pac to your washer before any fabrics, and that you leave enough room for the pac to dissolve fully. The good news is, any leftover can be removed. We’d like to learn more about your experience so we can help further, please give us a call at (800) 879-8433.

I'm glad to see that other are not happy with the scent of Tide Original Pods. It's overpowering and lingers. It was also strong in my folded clothes.

We're very sorry you had that experience. This is not something that we expect to happen with our Tide PODS™. Make sure to toss the PODS™ into the back of the washing machine drum before you add any of the items to be washed. This will allow the pack to come into contact with enough water to dissolve and distribute properly. Also, try not to overload the washer or put too many absorbent items in a single load. That causes too many things to compete for the water in the machine. If you have any questions about any of our Tide products, give us a call at (800) 879-8433.

Bag will never close.

The child-lock bag will not close. I even tried the instructions for what to do when it doesn’t close and that also didn’t work. Is it that hard to engineer a bag that is simple to close?

Response from TideBy The Tide Team, July 31, 2020
Maci, we're very sorry you are having this experience. We have strict controls in place to check the quality of our products and our packaging.
The Child Guard Zipper should continue to work as long as the bag lasts, so we appreciate you taking the time to report that your package broke or will not reseal.
We'd like to give you some tips to enable you to re-close your bag so you can continue to use your Tide PODS™..
1. With the front of the bag facing you, move the red slider to the left side of the bag. 2. Starting with the right side of the bag; press/pinch white zipper track together across the entire length of the zipper until you reach the red slider. You should feel both sides of the track snap back together as you pinch the track together. 3. Continue pressing the zipper track together until the white track is fully closed again. The zipper is now re-engaged and will function correctly.
Once zipper track is re-engaged here are instructions for how to open.
1. With the front of the bag facing you, move the red slider to the left side of the track. 2. Line up slider with notch/groove in white zipper track. 3. Press down on top of red slider. 4. Continue to hold down top of red slider as you slide to the right to open. 5. Be sure to re-close the package when finished by pulling the red slider back to the left side of bag and store the bag up and out of the reach of children.
In the meantime, please give us a call at (800) 879-8433, so we can help you with this further.

What?!?!

I have a nighty Tshirt that I’ve worn almost nonstop since March .2019, I got one for my daughter too so sentimental. It is black background with different color sleepy time print. Wold not even venture a guess how many times it’s been washed. 1 wash with this and it was like new black not faded. I didn’t even realize these pods “rejuvenated” I was so shocked, I investigated more about this product. Unbelievable! How did that happen, and totally removed oily salad dressing from light grey shorts, grey shoes everything. I’m mystified and impressed.

Leaves white residue on dark clothing
on August 21, 2020

Do I recommend Tide Pods? Yes and No. Yes, I think they get clothes clearn......except for dark clothing. The pods leave white residue all over the dark or black clothing. I have to wash all of them again, all by themselves without detergent, in order to get out the white streaks the pods make. It's very aggravating to me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
Response from TideBy The Tide Team, August 29, 2020
We're very sorry you're having this experience. When a POD™ doesn't fully dissolve and leaves streaks on darker clothing, the likely culprit is a wash load that is too full or that has too many absorbent items in it. As you have found, the solution is to wash the items again using no laundry detergent. Then, bim-bam-boom, everything is right as rain. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at (800) 879-8433.
