[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fit is a little tight such that the side of the laptop is right against the zipper. Since the zipper fabric there is just nylon and not neoprene, I don't think it will protect that side at all. The other three sides have more padding.

Works great for my levovo legion in terms of size. Not shock-proof, dont drop it, but it's been great for preventing general wear transporting my laptop to and from work (car, bus, bike, etc). The extra pocket spaces are nice too, helps keep cords and flash drives all in one place
