I have purchased over 7 UPS systems from Tripp Lite and I know they work as I live in an area with many brownouts and blackouts. TrippLite is not only affordable, it does the job of protecting all my equipment--TV, sound system, two computers, elliptical machine and modems. I only wish the battery life was longer.

I am using this UPS to back up my home Network Attached Storage (NAS) device, a QNAP TVS-471. What I needed, in addition to reliable power backup, was the USB communication feature to alert the NAS to a power failure. The NAS then can begin an orderly shutdown while power is still available from the Tripp-Lite UPS. This works well. The NAS recognizes the UPS and even estimates the back up time available.

Working fine so far. But left a faint smoke smell in the room for a while. First one I bought had no smell and still working after replacing the battery. So not sure if something burned or just related to plastic curing on the new unit.

Terrible product that randomly shuts down with no warning. Tripplite online RMA process is actually a time waster that tells you to call them after a week of back and forth emails.

I use this on my Mac Pro, and I have used this model (and it's predecessors) for a long time. I love the information provided on the display, which can hlep you figure out what is really going on. I have at least 5 UPS in the house (TiVos and the network) and this one has never let me down.

I run all of my audio/video equipment through this UPS. It does an excellent job of protecting all of my equipment. This is my 2nd unit that I have purchased. The first one lasted for 7 years which is pretty good, I think. Hopefully, I will get another 7 years out of this one. I would definitely recommend this product if you want total protection for your audio/video equipment.
