Battery Replacement

Battery replacement was easy (2nd time). Only issue is the disposal of the old battery. In the past a label was provided to return the old battery. Now we're pretty much on our own for the disposal. So far I've not found anyone locally who will take the battery to dispose of it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not the right batter

Your battery selector recommended me this battery for our Backup 1500 unit. This is definitely not the right battery.

If the model number on the white bar code sticker says something other than BX1500, then a different battery cartridge is required. If you purchased this battery through our APC web commerce site, please contact our support team at your earliest convenience and we can help resolve this issue for you.

had to repack

My Back UPS XS1500G did not have a pigtail cable as pictured. Instead, it has a separator that has contacts in it that engage as you slide the battery into the compartment. I just removed the old batteries from that separator, and put the new batteries from this battery pack on it in the same way, taping with packing tape. It works fine. As another reviewer noted, the pigtail may not be right for your XS1500. The model number on mine is XS1500G. Pic attached is the old pack before I cut it apart.

Easy replacement; only took 5 minutes. Popped off the battery cover, unplugged the old battery, & then dropped the new battery in and connected.

Overpriced Short Life Batteries

I bought 3 of the RBC33 batteries for 3 XS1500 units I bought only 2 years ago. The batteries don't last the estimated 3-5 years. All 3 units displayed the replace battery light within 2 weeks of each other.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Defective Replacement

Replacement battery #33 generated a replace battery light as soon as it was installed and never went out. A battery that costs almost half as much as the entire unit should do better than that.

The only problem i had was trying to remove the old battery from the unit. The old battery had expanded lenghtwise due to it expiring. No problems with inserting the new battery into the unit.
