We needed a power strip/surge protector that would fit behind a cabinet for our bedroom TV, Blu-Ray player, etc. This one is very compact but still has a reasonably high protection rating, all at a good price. We have used Tripp Lite products for years and have never had a problem with them.

This is a nice basic surge protector with a lighted on/off switch. We hung it under our kitchen sink for the garbage disposal, the hot water dispenser and the Dustbuster. I might buy another for my sewing room.

My room had one outlet on the wall behind a sofa, so I needed something with a long cord and flat plug. This met all the requirements. On top of that, I believe Tripp-Lite products are regarded as having reliable performance in case of surges, and the hardware warranty gives adequate piece of mind. So far I've ended up buying 3 of these for various rooms in my home.

Great from home office use

I purchased this for my home office. The wall I needed it on only had one outlet and it was behind a futon. I needed something with a flat low profile plug and long cable. It was surprisingly difficult to find something that met those requirements, but I'm glad I found the Tripp-Lite. Reviews of their other products were good, so I do trust that it would protect my electronics in the event of a surge. I ended up buying a second one for another room in my house where again I had an outlet behind a dresser.
